SHUT-OFF VALVE & VALVE BOX

Shut-off valves are provided to isolate a section, area or zone of hospital to avoid supply interruption to entire establishment in case of emergency, maintenance, repair, periodic testing & planned future expansion. These are installed in a Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS) in different configurations including vacuum. The shut off valve boxes have provision for gas specific NIST connection in addition to analog pressure gauge for testing facility, emergency supply connection or connection to Medical Gas Alarm System.

Valves are horizontally housed (vertical entry type) in a secured metallic box with window for protection, accessibility and better visibility. This arrangement permit to locate the valve box in areas readily accessible to medical personnel but restrict unauthorized tempering.

The housing box lock is so designed that in case of emergency the locked window can be opened by applying little extra force on the lock (hard punching) which is reusable for locking.
